The Condition Assessment System for Infrastructure and Rolling Stock

Key Features of RAIL//CAS.

CAS is a flexible parent/child TREE based asset model.

Key asset ATTRIBUTES LISTS and ASSESSMENT CRITERIA can be individually assigned to each ASSET TYPE.

The ASSESSMENT CRITERIA can be weighted in CRITERIA LISTS according to relative importance and risk.

These CRITERIA SETS are assigned to asset NODES on an individual basis by the definition of ASSESSMENTS.

These ASSESSMENTS are then scored on a periodic basis using the CRITERIA values and weighting after condition of asset is either upgraded or downgraded.

The SCORING is then used to assess individual NODE condition or rolled up into BRANCH or total TREE condition

CAS is based upon Microsoft SQL Server database engine, which lends itself to scalability, customised reporting and integration to other systems.

These reports can be exported in a number of formats for importing into databases (SQL Server and Oracle) and Web friendly XML format.

The RATINGS are then used to present in summary or detailed reports
